The excitement is building: the draw for the Head of the River Amstel 2026 was successfully conducted yesterday!

As every year, some fields have been merged according to the regulations to create well-filled and competitive races. This ensures that everyone can start in a strong and fair field.

The following categories have been combined:

• LMG 8+ → merged with MG 8+
• VG 8+ → merged with VE 8+
• VO Coastal 4* → merged with OO Coastal 4*
• OMJ 8+ → merged with OMI 8+
• VMB 8+ → merged with VMA 8+
• VMD 8+ → merged with VMC 8+
• VMG 8+ → merged with VMF 8+
• OMC 4* → merged with OMB 4*
• OMH 4* → merged with OMG 4*
• VMB 4* → merged with VMA 4*
• VMH 4* → merged with VMF 4*

With these mergers, a fantastic race weekend is ahead—full fields, strong competitions, and hopefully splendid conditions on the Amstel.
